Is your current Monitor Trainer (MT) Certification about to expire? This mandatory one day course will refresh you on the soft skills that prepare you to continue to effectively train your employees and officially designate the M1 & M2 positions.

Trainer is required to bring a copy of the current 'ANSI / ACCT Challenge Courses & Canopy / Zip Line Standards' with them to this training

Costs: $365pp. Includes 1 day of training and testing. Lodging, travel, and, food should be coordinated by attendees themselves - airport and hotel suggestions will be provided.

Train the Trainer

What:  This training will focus on the soft skills that prepare the participant to be able to train their employees at the different monitor levels and officially designate the M1 & M2 positions. Individuals who pass all qualification requirements will be awarded an MT (Monitor Trainer) designation.


Who: This training is designed for those qualified staff and supervisors that will be responsible for training of employees at their own adventure course. THIS COURSE IS NOT DESIGNED TO TEACH EQUIPMENT USAGE, THE EXPECTATION IS THAT ALL APPLICANTS ALREADY HAVE A STRONG GROUNDING IN THEIR PARK’S EQUIPMENT.

Pre-Requisites of a Monitor Trainer:

  • Individuals must be at least 21 years of age;

  • Current certification in CPR and First Aid

  • Current certification as a M2 with Tandem credential (or equivalent High Ropes Course experience);

  • Minimum of 2 seasons and 800 hours of professional experience as a certified M2 (or equivalent High Ropes Course experience);

  • Knowledge of the ANSI / ACCT Challenge Courses & Canopy / Zip Line Standards;

  • The ability to train and assess others in categories M1 - M2;

  • Must pass Written & Practical Exams
